Gabi James brings Spanish and coastal French food with California Soul to the South Bay. After 21 amazing years in Redondo Beach, Guy Gabriele along with his daughter Sara and her husband Adam bid farewell to Zazou with a dream of reinventing the space and concept. With the help of an architect, Erik Blanchard and designer, Ana Henton, the new space began to take shape.

Gabi James is a beautiful representation of Spanish and coastal French style, along with the bright and airy aesthetic that we hold dear in the South Bay.

Our kitchen is helmed by longtime Gabriele restaurant veteran, Jorge Torres, who has worked with the family for 2 decades. The menu takes shape with dishes created by South Bay native & chef extraordinaire, Chris Feldmeier, of Mozza and Moruno fame, alongside dishes created by the Gabi James team & some Gabriele family recipes. The bar is rooted in an awesome trifecta. Vincenzo Marianella, of Copa d’Oro and Providence, has created a cocktail program that features house-crafted juices and ingredients as well as a wide variety of spirits. Sara and Adam have curated a wine list and beer program that shines with local offerings as well as Spanish and French additions that pair great with the menu and stand tall on their own.
